Mahopac Teen Accused Of Drunk Driving With 14-Year-Old In Car

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- Carmel Police charged a Mahopac man on Saturday, Oct. 22, with drunk driving with a younger teen in the car following a traffic accident, according to lohud.com.

Markham Barry, 18, was traveling on East Lovell Street when he lost control of his car and ran into a stone wall near the border with Somers, said lohud.com.

When officers responded to the scene they determined that Barry was drunk and he had a 14-year-old boy as a passenger. No one was injured, added lohud.com.

Barry was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, said lohud.com. 

He is being held at the Putnam County jail on $10,000 bail, added lohud.com.
