Lake Peekskill Man Faces Felony Burglary Charges

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A Lake Peekskill man is facing felony burglary charges in the Town of Cortlandt, according to New York State Police. Christopher Rivera, 22, of Lake Peekskill was charged with felony burglary on Aug. 6 just after 3 p.m. in connection with an incident that occurred May 30 at 9:20 p.m.

New York State Police said Rivera was charged in Cortlandt after being released from Putnam County Jail, for a similar burglary he committed on the same street in Lake Peekskill. State Police said Rivera burglarized two houses on Perry Place in Cortlandt while he was still on probation. New York State Police Investigator Kelly Pawlak said Rivera admitted to the two burglaries, which took place on the same street but in two separate counties.

Weapon Possession Jason A. Brown, 32, of Cortlandt was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanor menacing with a weapon and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, after police said he threatened his girlfriend with a stun gun while she was holding a child. The incident occurred at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 in Putnam Valley.

DWI Victoria Villa, 48, of Ossining was charged with felony DWI, felony operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent and one traffic infraction at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, on Furnace Dock Road in Cortlandt.

DWI Marco C. Nogueras, 30, of Putnam Valley was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent and misdemeanor DWI, just before 3 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 3 at Oregon Road in Cortlandt. 

Driving Impaired by Drugs Dillon Izquierdo-Vega, 20, of Buchanan was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and several traffic infractions just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 on Westbrook Drive in Cortlandt. 

Possession of a Controlled Substance Vincent P. Altieri, 20, of Verplanck was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession at about 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Steamboat Dock Park in Verplanck.

Harrassment Peter Chomanczuk, 39, of New Windsor, N.Y. was charged with misdemeanor aggravated harassment at just before 3 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, at 1 Memorial Drive in Cortlandt.

Endangering the Welfare of a Child Israel Nieves, 42, of the Bronx was charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child just after 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3, in the Town of Cortlandt.
