The first crash occurred shortly before 10:15 a.m. at North Riverside Avenue and Brook Street, according to officials.
Village firefighters along with paramedics from Croton and Ossining responded to the intersection to find Croton police handling a two-car crash, officials said, adding that medics were asked to evaluate a pregnant woman who had been inside one of the cars.
About 10 minutes later, when the woman was safe and under evaluation, firefighters cleared the scene, officials said.
According to officials, the second crash was reported by a fire chief from a neighboring community about 12:45 p.m.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the single-car crash in the southbound lanes of Route 9 between Croton Point Avenue and the Croton River Bridge, officials said, adding that the only person involved in the crash suffered no serious injuries, but was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
Emergency responders battled heavy rains to control traffic before clearing the scene a short time later, officials said.
While returning to the the station, responders came across the day's third crash -- this one also on southbound Route 9 near the Municipal Place overpass, officials said.
Emergency responders again provided traffic control while Croton police helped the driver move the car to the shoulder of the road, officials said, adding that emergency responders cleared the scene after about five minutes.
Fire officials later took to Facebook, using the rainy day crashes as an excuse to make a public service announcement.
"A reminder to all - the combination of wet roads and all of the fallen leaves creates a slippery and dangerous surface," said a fire department post on the social media site.
