David Eichler, 30, of Furnace Dock Road, Croton, is charged with one misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third-degree and one traffic infraction for following too closely, police said.

The charges stemmed from a traffic accident that happened about 4 p.m., Friday, on Route 134 in Yorktown, according to police.

When officials investigated the crash, they said they learned that Eichler’s New York State driver’s license was suspended for failing to pay a driver’s assessment fee.

They further determined that the cause of the accident, which did not injure anyone but led to property damage, was Eichler following another vehicle too closely, according to police.

Eichler was processed and released at the scene, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, June 9.
