Henry C. Blum, 63, was involved in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday night at Baldwin Road near Gambelli Drive, police said. Authorities say Blum's vehicle ran off the roadway, and hit a tree.
Police say Blum was issued a traffic infraction for refusal to submit to a breath test.
Members of the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corp. transported Blum to Westchester Medical Center, as he sustained injuries in the accident.
A police officer continued his investigation, and placed Blum under arrest at the hospital.
Blum was left in the care of hospital staff members, and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Thursday, June 25.
