When an emergency vehicle is approaching you from behind, whether it is police, ambulance or fire, move as far to the right as possible and stop, said the fire department.

When vehicles approach toward a vehicle from the opposite direction, follow the same procedure, make an effort to move over and stop, when possible, the Fire Department said.

This is especially important in parts of the village where roads are narrow, according to the fire department.

Emergency responders need more room to maneuver their vehicles to get to their calls.
