Couple Charged In Pair Of Yorktown Burglaries

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A couple is being held on burglary charges in connection with two break-ins in Yorktown, police said.

Joseph and Rosenete Koelpin, 49 and 51 respectively, of White Sulphur Springs, a hamlet in the town of Liberty in Sullivan County, were arrested on Thursday at police headquarters after they appeared to answer questions about two burglaries at a Barkley Lane residence last year, police said.

They were both charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, police said.

Bail was set for Rosenete Koelpin at $5,000, and no bail was set for Joseph Koelpin, police said.

They were both sent to Westchester County Jail and are to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, police said.
