A Cortlandt Manor woman is facing several charges after Yorktown police say she drove while drunk and then fled the scene of a two-car crash.
April J. O’Connor, 25, was arrested around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, after getting into an accident in the area of Route 6 and Lee Boulevard, police said.
The driver who stayed at the scene told police that the other motorist had left.
Local officers and state troopers stopped O’Connor on Route 6.
Tests showed that O’Connor had a BAC, blood-alcohol content, of .18 percent, police said.
O’Connor was charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor; aggravated driving while intoxicated BAC .18 percent or more, an unclassified misdemeanor; and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, a traffic infraction.
There were no injuries reported.
O’Connor was processed at police headquarters and released into the custody of a responsible party, police said.
She is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, March 9.
