Cortlandt Man Faces Misdemeanor Weapons Charges

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – New York State Police say a Cortlandt man is facing two misdemeanor weapons charges, after he threatened someone on the campus of the Veterans Affairs hospital in Montrose.

State police say Leroy Styles, 57, was involved in a verbal argument, then went to the trunk of his car and pulled out a knife and a hammer. He held them up and threatened to use them, police said. The incident was reported at noon Wednesday, July 11.

The following items also were reported by the state police:

DWI: Matthew D. Rivera, 39, of Cortlandt Manor was arrested in Mount Pleasant, on the Sprain Brook Parkway, on a misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent, and misdemeanor DWI. He was charged at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, July 14.

DWI: Elizabeth K. Geigerich, 26, of Peekskill was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent, and misdemeanor DWI, while on the Bear Mountain Parkway at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, July 14. DWI: Samantha L. Vallandares, 20, of Peekskill was charged with two misdemeanor DWI counts while at Route 6 and Baker Street in Cortlandt. The incident was reported at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, July 15.

Petty Larceny: Richard A. Baisley, 43, of Buchanan was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny at 3131 E. Main St., Cortlandt. He was arrested at noon Wednesday, July 11.

Petty Larceny: Justine A. Lioi, 42, of Yorktown was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny at 3131 E. Main St., Cortlandt, at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 11.

Petty Larceny: Maria Fernandez, 37, of Peekskill was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny at 3133 E. Main St., Cortlandt, at 6:36 p.m. Friday, July 13.

Petty Larceny: Tess J. Alleyne, 41, of Cortlandt was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny at 3133 E. Main St., Cortlandt, at 7:54 p.m. Friday, July 13.
