Wilfredo De Celin-Contreras is accused of taking two 55-inch Samsung TVs valued at $5,799.98 from the Lee Boulevard store on Nov. 9, according to the police report.
De Celin-Contreras was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and released after posting $500 bail. He is scheduled to return to court 6 p.m. Tuesday.
In other blotter news:
• David Herbin, 23, of Cortlandt Manor, faces two felony charges of driving while intoxicated, Yorktown police said. Herbin was allegedly recorded with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 when he was pulled over at a DWI checkpoint about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the police report. Herbin was reportedly unlicensed and had a prior DWI conviction in 2008, police said. He was charged with felony DWI, and felony DWI with a BAC of .08 or greater, and was given a violation for being an unlicensed driver. Herbin was processed on the charges and released to a friend on $250 bail.
• Michael Hritz, 49, of Peekskill, was charged last Wednesday with felony criminal mischief in the third degree for allegedly causing damage to a vehicle, police said. Police Officer Brian Nicholson responded to the scene about 5:12 p.m. and reported that Hritz allegedly hit another vehicle with his hands and caused damage to the rear passenger side. Hritz was not at the scene when Nicholson arrived, police said, but later surrendered to the charge at police headquarters. He was processed and released after posting $250 bail.
