Cortlandt Man Charged With Assault, Resisting Arrest After Domestic Dispute

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old Cortlandt man was charged on Sunday with third-degree assault and resisting arrest, state police said.

Troopers were dispatched to a Cortlandt residence for a 911 hang-up call.  When they arrived on scene, they observed two people engaging in a verbal domestic dispute. 

An investigation revealed that Jaquae K. Henry of Cortlandt,had struck the victim in the face, causing her injury, prior to police arrival, state police said. 

When troopers attempted to place Henry under arrest for assault, he actively resisted, police said. The defendant was arraigned at the Town of Cortlandt Court in front of Judge McCarthy where he was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on $2,500 Cash bail or Bond.
