Cortlandt Man, 27, Faces DWI Charge After Two-Car Crash

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A two-car crash on Furnace Dock Road ended with a Cortlandt man being hit with charges last week, state police said.

Michael G. Settepani, 27, was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, by state troopers investigating the accident on Tuesday, Jan. 12, police said.

Settepani was driving east when he left his lane and struck a westbound car head-on, police said.

Both drivers refused medical attention, police said.

Settepani had a blood alcohol content of .10 percent following field sobriety tests, police said.

He was ticketed and is to appear before the Town of Cortlandt Court on Friday, Jan. 29, police said.

The state police were assisted by the Montrose Fire Department at the scene of the accident.
