Ryan T. McKeown, 23, was arrested last week at his home on Route 6 after his mother found the card in his room and called police, Smith said.

According to the sheriff, McKeown admitted taking the card.

If convicted of the felony charge, McKeown could face up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine, police said.

McKeown was arraigned before Town of Patterson Justice Anthony Mole and sent to Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond.

He is to appear in Town of Carmel Justice Court to answer the charge.
