Buchanan Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Three Children

BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- A 73-year-old Buchanan resident was sentenced to 12 years in state prison Wednesday for sexually abusing three children over the course of six years, the Westchester District Attorney's Office announced.

Calman Greenburg pleaded guilty in May to two counts of course of sexual conduct in the first degree (a Class B violent felony), and one count of course of sexual conduct in the second degree (a Class D violent felony).

Greenburg's actions involve multiple acts of sexual abuse, rape and oral sexual conduct on the children, all younger than 13 between 2004 and 2010, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Greenburg was arrested on July 18, 2015 after an investigation conducted by the New York State Police and the Special Prosecutions Division of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

He was remanded to the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections.

Along with his prison sentence, the Greenburg must register as a sex offender. He may also be subject to civil confinement after he has served his sentence.
