Dorsey worked for Best Plumbing Supply in Yorktown and Somers for many years, until he retired in 2008. He was a volunteer at the Community Food Pantry.
He enjoyed roving the world with his wife, and he taught himself German, Italian, French and a bit of Mandarin to better absorb a country's culture.
Dorsey is survived by his wife Judy Gallo; sister-in-law Catherine Brittis; brothers-in-law Anthony and Louise Gallo and Ken and Zirka Gallo; eight nieces and nephews and their spouses; 17 great-nieces and nephews; two great-great nephews and a great-great niece; and many cousins and good friends.Dorsey was predeceased by his parents Ella (Bleakley) and Thomas F. Dorsey.
Visiting hours are from 2-5 p.m Sunday at Dorsey-Carlone Funeral Home, 1100 Cortlandt St., Peekskill. A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption Church, Peekskill.
