VERPLANCK, N.Y. Theresa R. Pagliaro, a lifelong Verplanck resident, died Monday, Aug. 13. She was 89.
Pagliaro was born March 7, 1923, in Verplanck to Domenick and Concetta LaGotta Letteri. She worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in Peekskill for many years.
On April 13, 1947, she married Ralph "Ray" Pagliaro at St. Patrick's Church in Verplanck. She was a former member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society Ladies Auxiliary.
Pagliaro is survived by a daughter, Darlene Mazza of Verplanck; and two grandsons, Joseph and Michael Mazza. She was predeceased by her husband; a daughter, Patricia "Patty" Pagliaro; four brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church in Verplanck. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
