Steve Kopchik, Jr., 82, Worked For Tensolite Corporation In Buchanan

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. - Steve Kopchik, Jr. of Hopewell Junction, formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson, died Oct. 26. He was 82.

Kopchik was born June 17, 1932, in Hastings-on-Hudson, to Steve and Helen (Seaman) Kopchik, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Combat Veteran. He was a member of DAV #144 at Castle Point and VFW in Hastings-on-Hudson and Beacon. He had been employed by Tensolite Corporation in Buchanan.

Kopchik is survived by his wife, Agnes Kopchik; sons, Steve (Tracey) Kopchik, Mark (Carolyn) Kopchik, and Ronald (Julie) Kopchik; four granddaughters; several nieces, nephews; and great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Ann Lash.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
