BUCHANAN, N.Y. - Marjorie F. Zern of Buchanan, and formerly of Elmsford, died April 13. She was 93.
Zern was born Jan. 29, 1921, in White Plains, to Frank C. and May Sullivan Foxwell. She worked at Eastern Aircraft during World War II, co-founded Arc of Westchester program for children with developmental disabilities and retired from the Archdiocese of New York.
Zern is survived by her son, Donald F. Zern; daughter, Betty Jane Zern; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Henry W. Zern.
Calling hours are Wednesday, April 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cortlandt Funeral Home . A blessing will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17 at the St. Christopher's Church in Buchanan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
