Marc Lewis McEntee, 54, Croton-on-Hudson

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Marc Lewis McEntee, a resident of Croton-on-Hudson, died Friday, May 20, in a bicycling accident in Hesston, Pa. He was 54.

He was born on Nov.17, 1961, to Marcia and Harry "Bud" McEntee in Patterson, N.J. 

He attended Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls, and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

He enjoyed working for the past 24 years as a test engineer at Consumer Reports in Yonkers. He was an active member of the community, dedicating his time to coaching many youth athletic programs, such as soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. He was very proud to be a founding board member of Croton Youth Lacrosse.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son Shaun; daughter Melissa; and his parents.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m. at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville. A celebration of life service will take place on Wednesday, May 25, at 4 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to US Lacrosse or Westchester Mountain Biking Association.
