VERPLANCK, N.Y. – James F. Lippert, of Verplanck, died peacefully Tuesday, April 14, at his home. He was 90.
He was born to Gustav and Kathryn (nee Mitchell) Lippert. He joined the Air Force and served for 34 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He also worked as a sales representative for New York Central Rail Road and Conrail.
Lippert is survived by his wife, Rita; a brother-in-law, John Allasio and his wife, Margaret; nieces; nephews; a host of cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, April 19, from 4-7 p.m. at the Cortlandt Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. Monday, April 20, at the St. Patrick's Church.
Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Verplanck.
