Westchester County Police Charge Three In Cortlandt Speed Enforcement

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Westchester County Police conducted a speeding enforcement detail on Watch Hill Road and issued three tickets within 30 minutes on Monday, Sept. 22, officials said.

At 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 22, A resident of Hood Place reported to Westchester County Police that a motorist stopped his car and used his cell phone to take a photo of her daughter as she was walking from a school bus to her home, police said. 

On Friday, Sept. 26, Westchester County Police responded to Doris Lee Drive on a report that a resident was burning items in a barrel. An officer determined that a homeowner was burning wood and advised him that the activity was prohibited by town ordinance and county law. The homeowner extinguished the fire, police said. 

On Saturday, Sept. 27, County Police responded to Lynwood Road to assist an elderly man who had fallen. The man was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt by Mohegan Lake Fire Department ambulance, police said.
