Verplanck Woman Arrested After Domestic Dispute

VERPLANCK—A Verplanck woman was arrested following a domestic dispute and assault as her residence, according to New York State Police.

Police were called to the residence of Rosemary T. Monjaraz, 49, where troopers determined that Monjaraz had assaulted her boyfriend, a 58-year-old male, with a broomstick and a rock. The victim was transported by ambulance, to Hudson Valley Hospital Center where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Monjaraz was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and she was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and released after posting bail.
