CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Temporary water restrictions were lifted in the Village of Croton on Thursday afternoon.

Water restrictions were placed on the village July 11, after village officials said hot weather was putting exceptional pressure on pump machinery, which supplies the municipal water.

Water restrictions limited the daily watering of lawns and gardens, car washing and filling of pools for just over three weeks. With restrictions lifted, village residents may resume at-will water usage without violating village code, and facing the possibility of a summons.
