State To Fight Entergy's Decision To Close Power Plant

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N. Y. -- Even as state officials try to close Entergy Corp.'s Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant in Westchester, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he will fight the company's plan to close its Oswego County plant, according to Lohud.com.

Cuomo said the two plant are different situations, saying the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant in Oswego County closure will impact more than 600 workers. At the same time, state officials are concerned about the Indian Point plant in Westchester because it is so close to New York City, Lohud.com reported.
