The Soi Dog Foundation works to rescue dogs that have been captured in Thailand. Victims of the dog meat trade are often grabbed from the streets or abducted from families, then crammed into wire cages and transported to be butchered for their meat.

Honey Blue, Carmel and Indy are three such dogs that arrived at the SPCA in Briarcliff Manor earlier this week.

All three dogs are well-socialized and good-natured but will need medical treatment, along with nurture and care upon arrival in Westchester County.

A "Ticket to Freedom" fund has been established to cover the cost of transportation, care and rehabilitation for the dogs.
