A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of kidnapping and having "deviate" sexual intercourse with a teenage girl has reported a move in Westchester County.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 25-year-old Omar Dancy, who has moved from Elmsford to a residence on Howard Street in Peekskill.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Darcy as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Darcy had deviate sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl in 2009 who he unlawfully imprisoned. He was convicted of first-degree attempted criminal sexual act by forcible compulsion in December of that year and sentenced to 42 months in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Peekskill City Police Department.
