Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Cortlandt, Tornado Possible

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Westchester County until 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

A cold front moving through the area could produce severe thunderstorms with damaging wind and possible large hail on Tuesday afternoon. There is also a small chance that a tornado could develop in this system. Chance of rain is 60 percent with a high around 88 degrees. 

Sun will return on Wednesday with a high of 84.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a high of 81 and a slight chance of afternoon showers. 

Clouds will move in on Friday and will threaten the area with rain throughout the weekend.
