YONKERS, N.Y. -- U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer endorsed New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson for Westchester County Executive at a rally in Yonkers on Sunday.
“I’ve been in politics for 39 years, and I can smell a winner, I can feel a winner, and Noam Bramson is going to win next Tuesday and I’m glad to endorse him,” Schumer said in a statement.
The rally took place at the Polish Community Center on Waverly Avenue in Yonkers and featured many prominent Democratic politicians urging residents to vote on Nov. 5 for Bramson and other Democratic candidates.
Bramson was also endorsed by Community Voices Heard Power, a community organizing group working to advance progressive policies and programs to improve the lives of working class families across New York State.
The endorsement from Schumer capped a week that saw Bramson secure endorsements of former President Bill Clinton and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
