Second Teen Killed In I-95 Crash ID'd

RYE, N.Y. -- A second teen has died as a result of injuries sustained in a car wreck on Interstate 95 in Rye on Wednesday, according to New York State Police.

Rajiv Sardjoe, 17, of South Richmond Hills is now the second teen that has died as a result of the wreck. Authorities identified Vanessa Hoodith, 16 of Brooklyn as the first fatality earlier in the day

The driver of the 2013 Audi A4 was attempting to exit I-95 at Exit 19 onto Playland Parkway at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to negotiate the turn and struck a concrete barrier with the left side of the vehicle, police said. 

The three other occupants were taken to area hospitals for their injuries, police said.
