CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- An accident resulted in the closure of eastbound Route 6 in Cortlandt late Friday morning.
The accident, between Route 202/Route 9W and the Bear Mountain Bridge, was reported at 10:15 a.m. Route 6 reopened by 10:45 a.m.
An earlier Route 6 accident was reported at Route 312 in Carmel at 9:35 a.m.
Motorists along the border of Northern Westchester and Putnam are also experiencing delays further east as a result of road construction on Route 116 between Route 121 and Hilltop Drive in North Salem.
