CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. — A Cortlandt man who was injured in a single-car crash earlier this week has died, according to The Journal News

Valon Rraci, 20, a graduate of Walter Panas High School, reportedly succumbed to his injuries Monday afternoon. According to State Police, Rraci lost control of the vehicle, struck two utility poles, and landed down an embankment on Croton Avenue near Sassinoro Boulevard. His passengers, Vincent McMorrow and Albert Tapia, both 18 and from Cortlandt, were also injured and transported to Westchester Medical Center for what police said were non-life threatening injuries.

State Police say an investigation is ongoing and that speed is believed to have played a role in the deadly crash.
