Peekskill Woman Charged in Shoe Store Larceny in Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A Peekskill woman is facing a felony grand larceny charge after New York State Police say they received a complaint from Payless ShoeSource in Cortlandt that the woman rang false returns into the cash register to take the cash.

Bianca D. Narain, 21, of Peekskill, was charged with felony grand larceny for allegedly taking $1,249 in the fake shoe return scam. It was reported May 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Driving while intoxicated arrests. Jermaine D. Curry, 36, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 and first-offense misdemeanor DWI. The incident was reported in the New York State Police blotter at about 11:55 p.m. May 5.

Fitim T. Zenalaj, 19, of Putnam Valley, was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with 0.08 blood alcohol content and first-offense misdemeanor DWI. The incident was reported in the New York State Police blotter at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5.

Thomas R. Schupp, 21, of Carmel, was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with 0.08 blood alcohol content and first-offense misdemeanor DWI on East Main Street in Cortlandt. The incident was reported in the New York State Police blotter just after 3 a.m. Sunday, May 6.

Mario R. Tapia, 37, of Ossining, was charged with first-offense misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with 0.08 blood alcohol content while on Route 9 in Peekskill. The incident was reported in the New York State Police blotter just after 3 a.m. Monday, May 7.

Criminal mischief. James F. Meehan, 21, of Cortlandt Manor, was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief with intent to damage property, according to the New York State Police blotter. The incident was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8.
