'Nutcracker' Proceeds Benefit Cortlandt Children

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- The Paramount Hudson Valley Theater has donated $550 from the proceeds of its holiday performance of "The Nutcracker" ballet to NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital to support its Santa’s Helpers program.

The proceeds will go to the program’s 2015 gift drive. For the past 19 years, Santa’s Helpers has raised funds to buy holiday gifts for deserving children in the Cortlandt Manor area.

This year, the hospital spent $125 each on 107 children. This is the second year that the Paramount has supported the program. Last year it donated $600.
