McNair, who was 62, died last year after traveling from a comedy show with comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alumnus Tracy Morgan when the driver of a Walmart truck slammed into the group's SUV limo on the New Jersey Turnpike, the report said.

McNair's family said they believe McNair would've been humbled by the honor, the report said.
