Lawyer Michael Lamonsoff, who represents, among other crash victims, Dr. Denise Williams, a retired Army colonel and dentist. Lamonsoff claims Metro-North agreed to pay for Williams' medical care after she required round-the-clock care due to a fractured spine and other injuries, according to the article.

Lamonsoff is reportedly now saying that Metro-North has ceased medical bill payments for "those injured by their negligence."

He would not say whether he meant the stop in funding applied to more than just Williams, according to the article.

A Metro-North spokesperson told the New York Post that the railroad agreed to pay medical bills through March 14 and is looking to resolve the legal claims.
