Murder Arrest, ID Theft Ring Targeting Northern Westchester Top News

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The arrest of the killer of a North Salem socialite and a second arrest in a Pound Ridge identity theft ring topped the news for the week.

The former day laborer charged in the bludgeoning death of an 83-year-old socialite on a sprawling 300-acre estate that shocked the bucolic town of North Salem and the area returned to court on Tuesday. Click here to read the story.

A second suspect from Manhattan has been charged in Pound Ridge in what is being described as a large identity theft ring operating out of New York City and targeting Westchester residents, Police Chief Dave Ryan said Tuesday, 10 days after the first arrest was announced.
