Montrose Resident Charged With Burglary

MONTROSE, N.Y. – A Montrose resident was arrested at her home last week after allegedly breaking into her estranged husband’s home and stealing several of his possessions.

Gail Mastroddi, 46, of Deerhaunt Drive in Montrose was arrested at 8:18 p.m. and charged with first-degree burglary, a felony, with second-degree criminal contempt and with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, both misdemeanors.

Mastroddi was also charged with contacting a family member despite a court order that prohibits her from doing so.

Friday

10:19 p.m. – Westchester County police received a complaint about loud music at a residence at the Wild Birch Farms condominiums in Cortlandt Manor. A resident at the location agreed to turn down the music.

Tuesday

9:33 a.m. – A resident of Furnace Woods Road told Westchester County Police that her estranged husband came to her home, kicked the side door to the house multiple times and screamed at her for about 20 minutes. The man allegedly made threats that he was going to remove their two children from school and “take them with me.”

County police notified both children’s schools of the incident and advised school staff to contact police if the father showed up at either school. 

5:43 p.m. – County police responded to Coachlight Square in Montrose on a report of two people arguing in the street, but both parties were gone on arrival.

Thursday

8 a.m. – A resident of Brandeis Avenue told Westchester County Police that someone broke into his car while it was parked in his driveway and stole an iPod Nano, Social Security card and a credit card.  The theft occurred sometime after 5:15 p.m. the day before. The vehicle had been left unlocked.
