Both high schools received bomb threats at approximately 10 a.m., according to Jim Van Develde, spokesman for the Lakeland Central District.

The buildings were evacuated and Yorktown Police, Westchester County Police and State Police responded to the scene, according to Van Develde.

Police conducted thorough sweeps of the building, including using bomb-sniffing dogs, according to Van Develde.

At approximately noon, police declared the buildings clear and students were returned to the buildings and resumed classes. Police are continuing their investigation into the source of the calls, according to Van Develde.

A Walter Panas student was arrested two weeks ago after a bomb scare led to the evacuation of the school.
