Aaron Dannenbring, 19, was on the tracks around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday when he was struck by the northbound train, said MTA Spokeswoman Nancy Gamerman.

The incident was not an accident, and no criminality was involved, she added.

There were about 200 passengers on the train at the time, no one was injured.

Service was temporarily suspended between North White Plains and Pleasantville until about 12:45 a.m., with trains, single tracking through the vicinity of Commerce Street. Full service was restored by about 2:30 a.m.

The incident occurred near the same spot where the deadliest train accident in Metro-North history occurred. In Feb. 2015, when Ellen Brody, of Edgemont, stopped her vehicle on the tracks and was hit by a commuter train. Six people, including Brody, were killed, in that crash.
