High Winds Leave Thousands Without Power In Westchester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Winds gusting as high as 50 miles per hour have knocked out power to thousands of Westchester residents Sunday afternoon.

More than 12,000 customers in Westchester were without power as of 1 p.m., with Con Ed and NYSEG each reporting more than 6,000 customers without power.

The wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service, which began at dawn Sunday, is in effect until 7 p.m. Sunday.
