Height Of Storm Should Come Just As Spring Starts In Cortlandt

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The latest snowstorm to sweep through the area should be at its height when the March 2015 equinox, which signals the official start of spring, occurs at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

Snowfall is expected to end by later in the evening with total accumulation of between 2 to 6 inches possible.

Snow is expected to begin after 1 p.m. Friday, in which the daytime high temperature will be between 31 and 33 degrees. Total daytime accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible with a slippery evening commute expected.

Snowfall will continue through the evening with another 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 2 a.m. Saturday.

The outlook for Saturday calls for mostly cloudy skies with a high between 43 and 45 degrees, with the wind-chill factor between 25 and 35 degrees.
