Goat Trail Closures Continue In Cortlandt

Motorists are advised that the daytime closure of Route 6/State Route 202 (Highland Avenue/Bear Mountain Bridge Road) between Route 9D (the Bear Mountain Bridge) and Route 9 (Annsville Circle) that began last week will continue into next week so that crews may perform construction activities, weather permitting.

Next week’s closures will occur on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A detour route will be in place, but motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly.

The detour for eastbound motorists will include traveling north on Route 9D to Route 403 east to Route 9 south to Annsville circle.

The detour for westbound motorists will include traveling north on Route 9 to Route 403 west to Route 9D south to the Bear Mountain Bridge.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
