Garrison Woman Charged With DWI After Crash

GARRISON, N.Y. – A Garrison woman was recently arrested on a drunk driving charge after she was in a car crash, according to a press release from the New York State Police.

Ida Sabani, 60, faces a misdemeanor charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, police said.

The charge stemmed from a motor vehicle collision that occurred about 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Sprout Brook Road, according to police.

A blood test revealed Sabani had a blood alcohol level content 0.23, almost three times the legal limit, police said.

Sabani is scheduled to answer to the misdemeanor charge against her Thursday in the Town of Philipstown Court.
