Wind-Chill Advisory Is In Effect For Cortlandt

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Bundle up, Westchester. The frigid cold has arrived.

A wind-chill advisory is in effect through noon Friday in much of Westchester County.

The advisory covers all of Northern Westchester, where frigid wind chills of around 15 degrees below zero will accompany temperatures from zero to 5 degrees above zero, according to the National Weather Service.

The frigid cold will be dangerous to those outside. Prolonged exposure may cause frostbite and hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
