Four Westchester Parks Will Allow Bow Hunting This Deer Season

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. – Bow hunting will be permitted in some Westchester parks this fall to help manage deer population, the county has announced.

Westchester County will reopen sections of Muscoot Farm and Lasdon Park and Arboretum in Somers, Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River and Mountain Lakes Park in North Salem for bow hunters.  Participating hunters will be selected by testing and lottery.

Program dates will be announced at a later date.  The county’s deer management program guidelines are available online.
