Dymes' Homicide Arrest Stuns Croton Residents

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Croton residents were dealing with the aftermath of Kathleen Dymes' arrest on Wednesday in the death of her 6-year old daughter, reported LoHud.com.

Dymes was charged with three counts, including criminally negligent homicide, in Lacey Carr's death.

Croton residents called the situation "sad" and "shocking," and another resident was in disbelief, as "a mother wouldn't do that," according to LoHud.com.

Dymes was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance, both class A misdemeanors.
