CORTLANDT, N.Y. – A Cortlandt teen is facing a felony drug charge, after the New York State Police said he was found in possession of 4 grams of a substance believed to be heroin and a generic version of the anti-anxiety medication Xanax.
State police said Nicholas A. Luciano, 18, of Inwood Lane was walking about 1 a.m. Saturday, April 21, and when he was approached by a trooper he began running and threw something from his pocket. That led to Luciano's being charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The following items were also reported by the New York State Police:
Driving While Intoxicated: Robert J. Grosso, 42, of Dobbs Ferry was charged with felony DWI and misdemeanor resisting arrest after he was pulled over on Roa Hook Road in Cortlandt, according to the New York State Police blotter. The incident was reported about 5:30 p.m Wednesday, April 18.
DWI: Milton H. Flores, 42, of Ossining was charged with felony DWI and misdemeanor DWI after he was pulled over on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Peekskill. The incident was reported about 8:20 p.m. April 18.
Driving While Impaired: Corey D. Kucker, 22, of Cortlandt Manor was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was arrested at 180 Kings Ferry Road. The incident was reported just after 3 a.m. Sunday, April 22.
DWI: Less than an hour later on Sunday, Tristan D. Dankert, 25, of Verplanck was charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with 0.08 blood-alcohol content and misdemeanor DWI, at Kings Ferry Road and Tate Avenue.
DWI: On Tuesday, April 24, just after 6:30 a.m., Larry A, Peterson, 38, of Peekskill was charged with misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor aggravated DWI. He was driving southbound on Route 9.
Reckless Property Damage: Thomas O. Hughes, 50, of Cortlandt was charged with misdemeanor reckless property damage of less than $250. The incident was reported after 7 p.m. Monday, April 23.
Petty Larceny: Christopher W. Acebal, 46, of Cortlandt Manor was charged with petty larceny at the ShopRite grocery store in Cortlandt. The incident was reported about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 24.
Petty Larceny: Jeanpaul Venero, 18, of Mahopac was charged with petty larceny at 3133 E. Main St. in Cortlandt. The incident was reported about 8:20 p.m. Friday, April 20.
