Cortlandt Resident William Nazario Named Purple Heart Vice Commander

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- The chairman of the Cortlandt Hudson Valley Veterna's Committee, William "Willy" Nazario, a Purple Heart Veteran from the Vietnam War, has been named the national senior vice commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH).

Nazario has been an active participant in keeping the needed services at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt VA located in Montrose/Cortlandt; has lobbied to have the VA pool renovated for veterans' physical therapy use; and has been an advocate of helping all veterans in the community and region.

"I am proud to know him and this new position for Willy Nazario is well deserved. He will continue to be a champion for the men and women who have  and are serving our great country," said Cortlandt Supervisor Linda Puglisi.
