CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The Town of Cortlandt was recently notified that they will received an award for their master plan, according to Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi.
According to Puglisi, the town will be awarded the prestigious New York State Planning Federation Comprehensive Plan Award for 2016 for the town's Master Plan: Envision Cortlandt, that was officially adopted by the Town Board on March 15.
“We are all very excited and I am looking forward to going to Saratoga Springs on April 18 to receive this excellent award on behalf of the Town of Cortlandt. I want to thank all of our master plan committee members, our Town Board, our staff and our consultant AKRF (we previously received a NYSERDA CFA grant to cover theses costs of $175,000)," Puglisi said. "This new plan covers many categories: economics, sustainability, recreation, infrastructure, special districts for medical services near our hospital and for a transportation area with shops, etc. around our train station, as well as, furthering plans for properties we own along the Hudson River. It is a true comprehensive plan.”
