During this event, health professionals will provide free screenings and offer heart-health tips.

Blood pressure screenings, cardio assessments and sleep evaluations will be provided.

Lack of sleep can affect heart health and contribute to chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.

The Wellness Club will conduct body fat analyses and demonstrate the Feldenkrais method, a body system that aims to reduce pain and limitations in movement.

Staff from the hospital’s food service will offer healthy cooking tips.

Furthermore, EMS coordinator Justin Costable will discuss the symptoms of heart attack and stroke, and a cardiologist will be available to answer questions about heart health.

This event coincides with National Heart Month, a time when health professionals raise awareness about preventing heart disease, the leading cause of death among men and women in the United States.
